In the first leg of the Sardar dam in May, the water level crossed 119 meters

SARDAR SAROVAR DAM

Gandhinagar: It is the first time in the history of Sardar Sarovar dam that it has crossed the surface of the dam in the month of May in the month of May. Due to the establishment of the gates on the dam has not yet been completed for five years and till the year of 2013, the people of Gujarat will be reminded of such scenes that when rainwater erosion in the rainy season in the year of rain, water overflow was exceeding the water of the 121.92 meter in the dam. It is astonishing that in the past year, the rain was very weak in the last year and the water reached the height of 119.58 meter in the Vaisakh itself.

According to government sources, this water is almost parallel to the total share of Gujarat this year, as per the Narmada Control Authority's rule, Gujarat has left almost all the remaining water from the amount of water available in this year. Now the question is, why did the middlemen start to leave this water at an ambush? It is learned from the investigations that Madhya Pradesh is experiencing electricity shortage due to the current summer. In the past five days, the central people have left the water of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra to get electricity through the Hydropower plant situated in Indirasagar and Bargi dam, where the local thermal power stations do not reach the urgency.

Why is water shortage despite this much water?

According to the data released on Monday, 7,663 cusecs of water is being released from Madhya Pradesh, against which 4,704 cusecs of water is being released from the dam. This week, more than 45 million cubic meters of water has increased in the dam than last week. That is, the government is not leaving water from the dam despite rising revenue. Hence, water shortage in Gujarat remains unchanged.

Government of Gujarat decided to save water

A meeting was held in Gandhinagar today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister. Sardar Sarovar dam also received extensive consideration of the water revenue and the amount of water in the dam. However, it is still a condition that the Gujarat government has to reserve this water till July and if there is rain, then it is still reserved. Therefore, the government has decided to keep the water stored in the dam.

Water condition in the dam

Last week, the living quantity of water in Sardar Sarovar dam was 0.93 million acres and according to the norm, the remaining 0.87 million acre feet (MAF) water provided by the state was near Madhya Pradesh. This amount is to be left in the middle of June 30th. The centralists most likely left the water. Now, in the now released water, the Gujarat government can release the water as per their choice in canals. The whole thing about how to use this water is now subject to the Gujarat government.
